Before we say arrivederci to our summer, me & Neil decided to have one last (chilly) meal outside in the garden with our beloved chiminea - it's our little baby, we're glad we shelled out for one given our crap English climate.
I've been salivating watching Jamie's Money Saving Meals (catch up on 4OD now!) and thought I'd give one of his pizza recipes a spin. One of the reasons behind our extravagant purchase earlier this summer, was for a chimineas multi-uses. We justified buying it so we could use it as an oven, barbecue, toast marshmallows on it, and have it as a substitute for an open fire. In reality, we've only used it twice since we bought it, and one of the times someone poured half a can of barbecue liquid in it to get it going nearly singing everyones eyebrows, but we still high five each other for getting it.
Pretty impressed at how that little pizza you can see in the photos was made entirely from scratch following Jamie's basic pizza recipe with added pepper, chorizo, onion, chicken and everything else in the cupboard that's pizza-worthy. It took a while to cook but smelled delish and tasted like the pizza I tried in Florence :)
I highly recommend checking out Jamie's recipes for ideas & money saving recipes. These pizzas only set us back about 60p each and leftovers make a great lunch or hungover breakfast ;)
