Makers Boutique Market // Brighton shenanigans

Myself and Neil took a trip to the Brighton Unitarian Church a few drizzly weekends ago to get a look at some local handmade gems at the Makers Boutique. Alright, alright. I dragged Neil along, but still. We both really enjoyed it.

We like our weekend trips to craft fairs. I've been to pretty much all of the Brighton regulars (check out the Brighton Craft Alliance review I did) and can't get enough. If you're a wannabe craft queen like me, it's great to wander around for ideas on your next project (or first project - in my case) or to pick up some truly unique gifts for friends.

Here are a few snaps from the day, including a guest appearance from a famous face in Brighton - the muppet pianist :)

What a guy!

These amazing hand illustrated coasters and phone covers are by the wonderful Caleigh Illerbrun

Betty Shek's handmade broaches and jewellery stole the show for me. Simply, wow. Check out her Etsy store

Look at these beautiful (and yes, all hand stitched) berets by Cathy Dodd. It was her first time selling at a crafts fair and I just know I'll be seeing her work again online and at fairs to come.

How lucky am I to live in a city so full of talented sellers! If you're a crafty girl from Brighton, myself and the super talented Lyndsay from Fizzy Peaches are organising a cosy little get together at the Northern Lights really soon. Stay posted for more info on it all this weekend, or drop me an email for a chat if you fancy making new blog friends :)
