3 life changing beauty products for winter

Collection's Lasting Colour Gel Liner review

Collection's Lasting Colour Gel Liner review

1) Collection's Lasting Colour Gel Liner, £4.99 Boots

The clarity on that eye shot makes me feel a bit nervous and doesn't quite do this product justice. First on my list of favourite winter products is the INCREDIBLE Collection (2000?) Lasting Colour Gel Liner in black.

This product ticks too many boxes. Easy to apply, long lasting, very reasonably priced and will probably last me a whole year (the sheer quantity in the pot is phenomenal.) I'm the cat-eye liner king, I've tried them all (and I'm not kidding when I say ALL) and this is a very close contender to my favourite Loreal Superliner Gelmatic in Ultra Black. Do your make up bag a favour and pick it up, if you're a black liner fiend like me, you'll love it.

TRESemmé Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment review

2) TRESemmé Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment, £2.69 (on offer at Superdrug RRP £5.99)

As you can probably tell from photographs throughout the blog, I 'suffer' from very dry ends. I say suffer, I haven't had a hair cut in about 10 years (and that's no exaggeration) so it's self inflicted pain that's heightened in winter months with cold, windy weather. This product is a weekly treatment but I in fact use it as an alternative to conditioner. I use it every time I wash my hair. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Makes knotty, dry hair easier to manage and a lot silkier. I've used up about 3 bottles between my house and the boyfriends. I can't get enough.

Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter review

Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter review

3) Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, £12, The Body Shop

Years ago I worked for The Body Shop and became the biggest fan of their Camomile Make Up remover. I'm pretty sure it's since won awards for its gentle qualities. I wanted to give the whole range a try and loved this cleansing butter for the novelty use. It's essentially like a body butter that you rub onto the skin to melt away makeup and impurities (is it just me who finds that bizarre??) The scent amazes me, and it genuinely leaves my skin softer than the norm. I tend to use this as a precursor to face wash as it's a tiny bit too oily for my already oily skin but I'd recommend it as a caring skin solution for the colder months if you suffer from dry skin.
