ANNOUNCEMENT! The Brighton bloggers bitch & stitch :)

Today on the blog, the lovely (and super talented) Lyndsay from Fizzy Peaches is guest posting. She is here to tell you all about a new and exciting meet-up we have planned.... announcing, the Brighton Blogger Bitch and Stitch!

Right, Lynds, it's over to you....

The Bitch and Stitch meeting is being organised by myself and the lovely Fiona. So you can get to know us better, we have decided to introduce ourselves on each others blogs, so you can put the face to the name, and find out a little more about us before the big day. Don't worry if you can't make the meeting - we will be posting lots about it on our blogs, including things we have made, skills we have learned and stuff, so make sure to keep in touch that way too.
So, a little more about me...

I'm Lyndsay. I live in sunny Brighton, and run a lifestyle blog which is a real mix of topics - beauty products, food and restaurant reviews and of course, crafting. All of this is rolled into one with stories and pictures of my adventures too. Phew, it keeps me busy, I'll tell you.

I am a keen knitter and hooker (of the crochet variety!) and quite often post my crochet creations on my blog and Instagram (fizzypeaches). I'm currently working on a very exciting project - I am planning to open my own Etsy store to sell some of my homemade crafts, so watch this space!

Looking forward to seeing you on the 7th October!! :)
1) Why are you organising the Bitch & Stitch?

I love knitting and crocheting, I'm a real addict and once I start a project I can't put it town. I am self-taught so I would love to meet others who share the same passion as me to share ideas and teach each other a few different skills. Plus its a really good excuse to get everyone together for a good old girly catch-up.
2) Where and when is it?

Come join us upstairs at the Northern Lights Pub, Brighton. Starting from 6:30pm onwards on the 7th October 2013.
3) Will the Bitch & Stitch be exclusively for crafty bloggers?
Not at all, everyone is welcome of all levels, and all types of crafts too.
4) Shall we bring anything for the meet-up?

If you do own crafting materials - wool, knitting needles, crochet hooks etc please do bring them along. If you are working on a current project definitely bring that to work on. As it's a first meeting we won't have a lot of spare things to go around so bring as much as you can so our total newbies can have a go :)
We are also asking for a small donation of £3 per person towards next meeting, this will go towards things like tea & biscuits, venue costs, colourful wool and equipment we can all use.

5) What are your future plans for Bitch & Stitch meet ups?

We have so many ideas for future meet ups, I don't want to reveal too much yet! ;) Fiona really has great taste in venues and has already earmarked a couple of really cool crafting venues we could go to next time.
I'm picturing some joint projects, we could spend one evening making things for premature babies to donate to the hospital, or we could come together and make a huge blanket, maybe a few colourful squares each to mix our skills.
If you would like to come please drop either myself or Fiona a line just so we can work out numbers :)
Looking forward to seeing you on the 7th October!
