3 gift ideas for every budget

Fifi McGee: Christmas Gift Ideas

Christmas day is just around the corner and it only feels like yesterday I was eating my weight in profiteroles watching last year's Coronation Street Christmas special.

If you're struggling with last minute gift ideas, I've picked a bunch to suit all different budgets that you still have time to buy online and get delivered in time for the big day.

Fifi McGee / Parkminster candle gift idea

Parkminster Soy Candle, £4.50, Milla Grace

Parkminster is a Sussex-based workshop lovingly creating handmade products of insanely good quality. Their candles are made from soybeans making them burn cleaner for longer. The lavender scent is a welcoming all-season smell for women who are into their interior décor, but if you're after something a little more Christmassy to burn on the 25th, Parkminster stock fresh fig, which has a very crimbo aroma. I'm getting more into purchasing gifts from local companies as opposed to high street chains, it's always a good thing to support up and coming businesses by spreading the word to your loved ones - and Parkminster make some beautiful products that deserve an even bigger fan base :)

Fifi McGee / The Body Shop gift idea

4 step smoky eye palette in Icy Plum, £15, The Body Shop

This compact, 4 step eye-shadow palette makes a perfect gift for women always on the go. In just about 5 minutes you can take your make-up look from day to night with the series of subtle and strong plum shades that work really well on dark eyes. I wore the more subtle colours in a recent post and will be recreating a darker, more sparkly look come Christmas day. The two brushes included are remarkably good - there's a common misconception that smaller brushes are more difficult to work with (at least I used to think so) but as it turns out, smaller is better for precision and blending. Excellent value for money, I want one in smoky brown too.

Fifi McGee / Denman Andis Elevate Hair Dryer gift idea

Fifi McGee / Denman Andis Elevate Hair Dryer gift idea

I don't know about you, but there's something SO exciting about receiving electrical items at Christmas, especially hair tools. Last Christmas I got myself some curling tongs and used them so much I morphed into the Little Miss Muppet. This year I have a sparkly red hair dryer to play with. This would make a wonderful gift for any women who find themselves between houses. I live part time with my boyfriend, and part time with my family, so having a hair dryer at both houses is a must. The chances are, people have owned their usual shabby hairdryers for 5 years long and are in need of an upgrade anyway, and who would say no to this scarlet gem? Failing that, get it on your own wish list this Christmas, it's a joy to use every morning - full review on its way.

How's your Christmas shopping coming along, eh? I've only just got out of the habit of buying gifts for me alongside everyone else. Oooops.
