I haven't yet felt that crisp chill in the air but I don't care.
I neeeed blankets. I neeeed cushions. I neeeed warm, cosy decorations. And I need them now.
Even in the 30 degree heat of Summer!
One of the huge perks of being an interior blogger is the sheer quantity of press releases you receive to your inbox every day. The kind of stuff I can't not open. If emails I am sent have anything fluffy or cushion related on the subject line I need to see it.
Don't get me wrong, I see my fair share of boring infographics from mortgage companies and emails that make me yawn, but the large majority I open, I flick through and get immense home decor inspiration from.
I often get to see home decoration products ahead of when they are released in store too. Whether it's attending a press event to see the forth coming seasons products styled to perfection in person, or mood boards put together by press companies representing the brands, it's really lovely to see what's being released from some of my favourite brands.
So when I was flicking through emails I thought why not pull together a post of my favourite Autumn Home Accessories so that you can see products that have either just hit the shelves or are just about to this Autumn, and you can see a variety of items from all different interior suppliers all in one place.
OK I'll get on with it now... here are my top interior picks for the Autumn season. If anything floats your boat let me know in the comments, I'm ultra nosy!
BRONTE BY MOON
When you think about a cosy Autumn evening chilling in front of the telly, having one of these babies on your knee completes the scene. These are Bronte by Moon's newest blankets which are in my eyes, timeless farmhouse classics – ideal for across your sofa, dining room bench or bed, or even as a car blanket. ALL of Bronte by Moon's blankets I am completely smitten for. They are made from 100% wool and come in a variety of Pantone colour of the year inspired patterns and shades. Don't tuck these bad boys away in a blanket box, whatever you do, that would be criminal.
I've featured HomeSense on my blog countless times simply because I can't walk past that shop and not go in for a mooch. The Green Leaf dish is almost identical to one I picked up in Portland, Oregon and would sit perfectly on a deep walnut side board, shelves or bathroom as a little home for jewellery. Also adoring the gold scales. I need to see how big these are in real life to find a home for them in our new kitchen *swoons*
Your weekly shop is about to get a whole lot more fun during the Autumn months because Sainsbury's Home have some beautiful (and I mean beautiful) home accessories coming onto their shelves. I was fortunate enough to visit their Autumn/Winter Press show in London a few months ago and saw their new collections. If you're like me and you love fireside, country, charming vibes in a room then you will love what they are releasing...
ROSE & GREY
Rose & Grey are always a website I turn to if I'm looking for something in particular like a piece of furniture (we're getting our bar stools for the kitchen diner renovation from there, I can't wait!) and lighting. During my visits over recent weeks their accessories have consistently caught my eye. The gold mirrors, the hand thrown pots, I really love the vibe their accessories would bring to rooms. The neutral but warming shades are great all year round accessories and they have an amazing selection of faux (but realistic looking) stems which are perfect for bringing nature indoors minus the maintenance.
Another site I've spent a lot of time on sourcing lighting for our renovation is Pooky. If you like traditional lamps, rustic wall lights and statement ceiling lights then Pooky should be on every home owner's radar. They've recently launched a design-your-own table lamp with selected Farrow & Ball shades which means you can match up your lighting with your F&B woodwork and/or paint it a complimentary shade. Genius :)
Julian Charles are experts in luxury bedding and bedding sets. Their beautiful bedding collections include everything from sophisticated memory foam duvet covers and anti-allergy pillow cases, to sumptuous throws and Egyptian 300 thread count cotton sheets, with each selection carefully designed to inspire and delight. My heart melted for their floral Amelie bed set pictured below. It's perfect for a wooden bed frame if you want to achieve an autumnal grown up look. I've heard that their candles rival Jo Malone and Aldi's candles too so if you can't afford Jo Malone's and your Aldi are out of stock of their classics, then perhaps Julian Charles' scents are a match.
What do you think? Some nice stuff coming out right? Autumn is such a nice time of year for home decor.
What items do you like most from my autumnal picks? Anything you think you'll buy for your house?
