Hallway console table

If you’re looking for an elegant console table for your hallway then great because there’s nothing worse than seeing shoes, letters and boxes all piled up in a lonely hallway, is there?

This is how our hallway looks currently… We use seagrass baskets underneath to stuff shoes, and drawers in the console table for letters, batteries and other odds and ends!

Console tables are the perfect way to make a smaller space - like a hallway or porch - more useful and stylish. Adding one to your space makes a great focal point for an area that sometimes gets neglected. They’re practical too, adding storage space where you need it. No more searching around for keys, dog leads or the post!

A console table is another great way to take advantage of alcoves and bays that sometimes come with a 1930s house but can be a pain to fit bigger pieces of furniture in. If you’re short on space, they can even double up as a desk or vanity.

We’ve chosen our favourite console tables here so that you can combine practicality and style too.

1. Chester Grey Console Table - The Cotswold Company

This console table perfectly mixes cosy, country style with a modern and contemporary finish. It has storage drawers too, keeping things tidy and out of sight. The grey paint finish on the frame, choice of two different types of handles (polished or painted wooden) and lacquered top really give it a quality finish that’s hard to beat at this price point. There’s a range of other matching Chester furniture too.
