Lockdown life: Swapping the commute for this...

DSC_2778.jpg

How has your life changed during lockdown?

If there’s one positive to come from these challenging weeks, it’s the time we’ve been given to press the reset button on life.

We’ve been able to spend time in the woods by our house. Taking our daily walks, runs, and cycling somewhere inspiring has kept us going through the weeks so far.

I commented to Neil the other day: I don’t think I’ve ever spent so much time in nature and in these woods.

We both feel noticeably energised for it.

A new routine

We’ve swapped the fusty 2-hour bus ride commute to work for this.

Trees, bluebells, and sunsets. All on our own doorstep.

The bluebells have been in full bloom for the last few weeks like a blanket of blue and purple on the woodland floor.

It was such a surprise, too.

After 3 years living beside this woodland and only venturing in on the odd weekend, we had no idea that in April this beautiful blanket display happens right on our doorstep.

The imbalance of work and life made us miss it every time.

I love these photographs Neil has taken. We’ll treasure them as a reminder for the happier moments that came from these unusual times.

We hope you’re able to find small positives of your lockdown life. It keeps you going.

Fi & Neil xoxo
