My week in photos [003] An interior class & farmers market
A farmers market, an interior class and filling the house with Christmas cheer
My week in photos [002] My bargain Ercol chairs, yay!
This week... a Gumtree home bargain, a trip to a very christmassy place in Sussex and a very bad paint job. Boo.
The annual autumn photoshoot
Just before the autumn leaves disappear and the winter sets in, Neil and I managed to squeeze in our annual autumn photoshoot :)
My week in photos [001]
Last week was probably one of the first weekends since we moved to No. 42 where we found a day we could go and explore the woods and fields out the back of our house – and not do DIY! Hooray.
The living room is looking more like a living room! (a few update shots) – No. 42
A little update on our living room renovation :)
How an autumnal walk helped me brainstorm home accessories
Interior inspiration can come from the most unlikely places... Like Friston Forest in the autumn :)
Choosing Our Bedroom Colour Scheme
Me and Neil were chatting about paint colours for No. 42 the other day. I asked him which wall sample he preferred in each of the rooms and he replied:
"I don't mind, as long as the whole house isn't grey. These samples all look grey"
Oopsy!
Getting our bedroom to "Phase 1" – No. 42
Progress at No. 42 is going steady. We're almost complete on the plastering of 2 rooms, living room and first bedroom, so we've set ourselves high goals to have these both complete by Christmas (sounds too good to be true given they look like this right now)
Move aside "hygge", the swedish term "hemmablind" is the one to know
I found myself flicking through the pages of Issue Twenty-One of Kinfolk magazine when I came across this new term I hadn't heard of before.
Hemmablind.
The direct translation is: "blind to flaws of the home".
Changes are afoot... I have a new project
From now until December 2017, inspiring places like this will become my office.
*Yay*
What it's REALLY like doing up a house & the photos bloggers don't show
Our grantastic to fantastic house renovation hit a new rock bottom last week.
Our budget spreadsheet told me we'd hit £10,000 on outgoings doing up the house so far, yet when I look around the place looks worse than when we moved in.
How to install central heating
Updates on our renovation! It's been a while since I've blogged about it all because I've been up to my elbows in wallpaper.
So where are we at 8 weeks on? A heating system is installed. Finally!
