After 2 years, I’ve started up my National Trust membership again! We headed to the beautiful Sheffield Park and Garden in Sussex, to check out the gorgeous blooms on a sunny day in May.

I had a day in the house all to myself a few weekends ago. Neil was out shooting a wedding, and we had his parents down for the weekend who were out looking for houses in the area to potentially move down to, so I took the opportunity to do a bit of baking fresh for when everyone came home :) 

It feels like only yesterday the house was full of dust from our kitchen diner renovation and I didn't see myself planning the next project so soon... but yet here I am putting early ideas together for our bathroom project which will hopefully start in Summer/Autumn depending on estimates.

For anyone embarking on a home renovation project up against hours (or more like days!) of researching products and brands ahead of them, I wanted to list the tried and tested suppliers we used for our Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Diner to hopefully help you make some faster choices :)

In this post I want to talk a bit more about the... I guess you could call it the 'engine' of the home – the boiler – the thing that powers hot water around our homes making them warm, cosy, damp-free and gives us the complete luxury of hot showers and baths, and what to do if you're concerned yours might one day break...

Having the whole family staying over at Christmas means Fifi needs to get inventive with where to put everyone up! Mattress buying to the rescue! The race to sort out the junk room and turn it into somewhere someone wouldn't mind sleeping is on!

This year, to pause and really relish the Christmas season before it flies past us as fast as Santa's sleigh, I thought that a hand made advent calendar tailored to projects and Christmassy traditions would be ideal to bring Neil and I even closer together when trying out new projects and spreading joy to others during December. 

We have so much to be grateful for this time of year that extends way past decorations and filling our homes with more stuff. This year, like every year, Neil and I have made some Christmas plans together that I'm so excited about...
